A unique Car Rally with a heritage touch was organized by FoHS for the first time in the State. This was done with the intent of popularising and creating an understanding of lesser-known heritage spots in and around Chennai. The rally covered Amoor (prehistoric burial site), Saluvankuppam (Sangam era temple) and Vayalur (early medieval temples) three different sites around Chennai. A delight for history lovers and for those yet to fall in love with our unique history, well known historians at each of these three sites who gave a short lecture at the locations which allowed the rallyists to take in the atmospherics and bring back a sense of period nostalgia, that root us in this otherwise fast paced world. The resource persons were Gandhirajan KT, Art historian, Chithra Madhavan, Historian and Rangarathnam Gopu, Historian.. The TTDC Commissioner, Thiru V. Palanikumar flagged off the rally at AKDR Golf Village.
